Biohazard cleanup is a service that necessitates industry knowledge, specific tools, and the proper qualifications, unlike a normal house or business cleaning. Improper cleanup can exacerbate damage and increase health and safety issues. We carefully cleanse and disinfect all potentially harmful biohazards from impacted areas to ensure that our customers' property is restored to a safe, habitable condition.
Bloodborne pathogens (BBP) and biohazards, which can include viruses like Hepatitis and bacteria like MRSA, are a risk in circumstances of a death or accident where there is blood present. According to CDC data, 1 in 24 individuals has HIV, Hepatitis B, or Hepatitis C. Because of these possible risks, Aftermath has created and improved a remediation method that is safety-focused, scientific, and safeguards the health and wellbeing of our clients, staff members, and affected properties. Our cleanup procedures adhere to OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogen Standards, which call for taking all reasonable steps and providing our teams with the necessary personal protection gear (PPE). If our clients need to enter impacted areas, we also offer PPE. We want to reduce the danger of exposure for everyone involved.
Aftermath is aware that incorrect handling of blood and human fluids poses additional health and safety risks, including the possibility of epidemics and structural damage to the building. The area has not been completely cleansed when blood spills are only spot cleaned and treated with a topical treatment. At best, this superficial cleaning has only temporarily subdued the bacteria; at worst, it may have completely missed areas where blood or other bodily fluids have amassed beneath carpets or flooring. This results in two problems: the potential recurrence of offensive scents and the expansion of new bacterial colonies. These worries are reduced by the Aftermath biohazard cleanup & remediation process. ATP assays, which assess cell activity, including that of bloodborne pathogens, are used to validate our findings. We are only pleased with the level of clean when the test registers 0 RLU (registered light units). This test enhances our biohazard cleanup procedure with technology, measurability, and accountability.
